ESAB DISTRIBUTOR MOVES TO NEW PREMISES

One of ESAB’s longest established distributors has moved to new premises overlooking the racecourse at Newbury, Berkshire, opening a fresh chapter in a long running story of successful business collaboration.

Newbury Welding Supplies employs 11 people at its new facility, but has been operating for over a quarter of a century in the town.  It needed to find new premises because its old landlord, a national builder’s merchant, required the building back for its own use.

The company has had the 4,500 square foot property at ‘The Paddock’ fitted out to its exact requirements with mezzanine, workshops and offices, as well as a 1,000 square foot show room.  Here, it stocks and distributes a wide range of equipment, Including ESAB MIG and TIG machines, automation and manipulators, as well as welding consumables.

Ken Sullivan, Managing Director of NWS, explains: “We sell a whole range of ESAB’s products for automation, we’ve got some very big stuff of theirs.  While we cannot stock absolutely everything – such as the very big machines - we stock a good amount of their kit at all times.” 

As well as offering its distributors an excellent service, welding and cutting specialist, ESAB also offers the end-user a comprehensive after-sales backup.  Its complete product range is supported by technical literature, with clear illustrations, charts and tables, as well as high quality photography where required; and, of course, ‘point of sale’ material as seen in the new showroom.
