HEAVY DUTY POWER FOR HEAVY DUTY WELDING

ESAB’s latest Origo Mig 4002c, 5002c and 6502c units are robust, switching converter (chopper) power sources designed for heavy duty welding applications in foundries, ship and offshore construction, and mobile machinery.

Outstanding welding performance and reliability are achieved using proven technology and software specially developed by ESAB. The Origo Mig provides reliable, smooth starts with efficient hot-start and crater fill functions.

Three control panels available for these machines, the Origo MA23, MA24 or Aristo MA6, that allow metal inert/metal active gas welding (MIG/MAG) and manual metal arc (MMA) welding.  The MA24 and MA6 provide a range of pre-programmed synergic lines and memory to pre-set welding parameters.  The QSet function on the MA24 control panel, uniquely, allows automatic setting of welding parameters in short arc mode without synergic lines.

ESAB's patented LogicPump is used on these machines to automatically start the cooling water pump when a water-cooled torch is connected to the wire feeder. This increases pump life and lowers noise levels when a self-cooled torch is used.

The TrueArcVoltage System, used in conjunction with an ESAB PSF torch, guarantees the correct arc voltage regardless of any voltage drop in the welding cables.  This means that same arc voltage is achieved whether the machine is used with a short connection or extended cables giving up to 35 metre working radius.

The units are designed for forklift handling and have strong metal casings, large wheels, and sturdy lifting eyes.  Dust filters to prevent grinding dust or metal particles entering the machine are standard fitment.
