Factorias Vulcano, Spain

The article reviews the construction of duplex stainless steel chemical tankers at factorias Vulcanos in Spain. The fabrication, from the indoor panel lines down to outdoor block assembly is characterised by wide scale use of ESAB welding solutions. OK Tubrod 14.27 and 14.37 prove to be versatile consumables for productive manual and mechanised welding, as are ESAB A2 Multitrac SAW machines used with OK Autrod 16.53/OK Flux 10.93.
