A simple and cost efficient method for the repair of worn drill bits has been worked out by ESAB and AMU/TGB, Sweden. The repair procedure is done with MMA using ESAB's R&M electrode OK 84.84. The rebuilt surface is extremely resistant to the type of wear occurring when drilling in soil, and the life cycle of the repaired drill bits is as long as that of new ones.
